Private sessions are customized to exactly what you need. Sometimes going over your home practice/personal workout routine and adding new exercises/poses, Aerial Yoga, sometimes enjoying an Assisted Yoga session (Yoga Therapy/Thai Massage), Personal Life coaching, Nutritional Consultation, Meditation or all of the above! One on One sessions in Parksville area are held at the studio. House calls in the Port Alberni and Ucluelet areas also available. Skype Sessions also available for 'out of towners'. 'Penny is like a female Dr. Phil! My friend warned me before my Skype session that Penny was 'no holds barred' and would get right to the core of the issue quickly - so be ready'. Aerial Yoga/ Suspension Yoga and Inversion Therapy is the latest advancement sweeping the yoga world and also the therapeutic healing modalities for the prevention, care and treatment of neck, hip and back pain and many other neuro-muscular-skeletal dysfunctions. The Yoga Gym also boasts incredible anti-aging benefits! The Yoga Swing Gym does everything from gentle preventative and therapeutic care to providing an amazing workout! This is amazing for flexible people but even more amazing for inflexible people as you can get a deeper stretch with the support of the yoga swing and increase your flexibility in one session. You may use the Yoga Gym for a challenging workout or a more restorative, healing session - or a bit of both!

| 6 Week Challenge |
Our 6 week challenge is complete and the success was felt by all! I'm leaving the plan posted here so if you feel so inclined you can start anytime and challenge and help yourself be fitter and happier for today and until the day you die! Start at any age, any level - just start! (If you are not active now start with 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week and start working your way up!) 6 week challenge: 60 minutes of exercise, 6 days a week! Program Guidelines: You must do 4-6 moderate to hard 60 minutes sessions/week (240 - 360 minutes) and 1 -2 Moderate to light 60 minute sessions/week. (60 - 120 minutes) Moderate to hard could be: Any cardio at a pace where you can only just keep a conversation going, splitting/stacking fire wood, heavy gardening/grounds work, Flow Yoga class, Challenging Hatha yoga, Yoga gym, good weight training session where you're working the muscles to fatigue, heavy duty house work where you're sweating! Moderate to hard needs to be a balance of cardio and resistance training i.e. 1-3 weight training or challenging yoga classes or home strength training program and 2-4 cardio sessions: biking, hiking, running, swimming, rowing, skiing, Moderate to light could be: Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Relaxation massage, Assisted yoga session, light yard work, seated meditation. You can 'make up time': If you only get 45 minutes in one day you can do 75 minutes the next day. You can break up your sessions i.e. 30 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes in the evening. You can use your 7th day as a day off or make up the minutes you might need to have a weekly total of 360 Minutes. *A huge key to lifelong success is to keep a record of your workout types, intensity and times in a way that's easy for you but you are also able to hand in to me at the end of 6 weeks. Recommended reading: 'Younger Next Year' by Chris Crowley & Dr. Henry Lodge My true, deeper hope is that after you've done 6 weeks at 6 days a week you will be able to maintain this for life and feel your best for the best part of your life - today! |

Hatha Yoga:
Like your daily multivitamin ... for all levels for a complete mind/body tune up. Gain strength, balance, flexibility and peace of mind. Different levels of each pose are shown so you can feel less or more depending on your abilities/imbalances in the moment. All levels welcome!
Yin Yoga:
Like your glass of wine at the end of the week ... aaahhh .... Gentle, held poses focusing on flexibility of mind and body. Especially good for tight joints and muscles. Great for all levels. Excellent cross training for runners and golfers. Beginners Welcome!
Yin Yang Yoga:
The one stop shop for yoga! Warm up with strengthening and conditioning poses followed by deep stretching Yin poses. Burn Fat and then chill out... All Levels welcome!
Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga:
Great for weight loss and staying slim! A magical meld of asanas (postures) sequenced together, step by step, breath by breath. A fat fizzling, calorie torching flow yoga for whole body sculpting. Great for everyone including Runners, Golfers, Athletes and Weekend Warriors! Fit Beginners Welcome!
All classes encourage a holistic approach to yoga focusing on Asanas (proper exercise), Pranayama (proper breathing), Shavasana (relaxation) and Dhayana (positive thinking/concentration & meditation). We also integrate different paths of yoga: Raja Yoga (the science of physical & mental control), Jnana Yoga (yoga of knowledge/wisdom), Bhakti Yoga (yoga of devotion or divine love) and Karma Yoga (yoga of selfless actions).
